Suzi Pratt/WireImageCrown the Empire guitarist Brandon Hoover has tested positive for the COVID-19 coronavirus.
In a statement posted to his Twitter, Hoover says he’s under self-quarantine for the next 14 days.
“About a week ago, I started getting a sore throat, congestion, and was more tired than usual,” Hoover writes. “Then all of a sudden I had severe body aches and a fever of 102 degrees. I was in bed for a couple days sleeping in puddles of my own sweat. Honestly I just had the flu!”
After then visiting the emergency room, Hoover got the news confirming he had the disease.
“Currently I feel back to normal and most of the symptoms have passed,” Hoover says.
“I advise everyone to keep yourselves informed, stay isolated, drink lots of water and wash you hands!” he adds.
By the way, the word for “crown” in Spanish is “corona,” which, if nothing else, appears to amuse Hoover’s band mates.
