Reese Witherspoon is more than just a member of the beyhive, she’s “best friends” with the Queen B herself, Beyoncé.
The Legally Blonde actress detailed her relationship with the famous singer and her husband, Jay-Z, during an appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show on Monday.
“Well, I just noticed that they were having champagne and we had run out of water at our table,” explained Witherspoon who was seated near the music duo for the 2020 Golden Globe Awards.
“So, I was thirsty and so was [Jennifer] Aniston, who was sitting next to me, and I was like, well, Jay-Z seemed to have a giant bottle of champagne. And I was, like, ‘Excuse me, Jay-Z’… And he was like, ‘Yeah, do you want some champagne?’ And I was like, ‘Yes, I do.’ Because clearly, he brings the good stuff,” she dished.
“Beyonce and I are really good friends… in fact, you might say best friends,” the 43-year-old shared and even added that the two DM each other on Instagram.
Witherspoon must have made an impression on Beyoncé after asking for some champagne because less than two weeks after the Golden Globes, she received a giant box full of pieces from the singer’s collaboration with Adidas.
“Does this officially make me the newest member of the #Beyhive?” she captioned a video of herself modeling the different pieces. “Thank you, @Beyonce for the #IvyPark swag!”
