Comedian B. Simone broke the internet Tuesday after posting a seductive image of her hugged up with rapper DaBaby, sparking dating rumors. Turns out it was all a marketing plan for his new single and short film, “Find My Way.”
This is definitely a different sound and look for the North Carolina rapper, implementing passionate, mellow lyrics over melodies for a fiery production by his filmmaking trio, Reel Goats.
The Bonnie and Clyde-inspired film captures DaBaby and B. Simone as wanted criminals riding around California committing a string of robberies. DaBaby opens with a short monologue and a quick call to check in with his grandmother, while B. Simone proves she’ll always be his ride-or-die.
“Find My Way” follows last month’s “Shut Up,” and DaBaby’s platinum sophomore album, Kirk, which landed all 13 songs on Billboard Hot 100.
Dababy also collaborated on features with Stunna 4 Vegas, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Lil Yatchy, Future, Blueface‘s “Obama,” and DaniLeigh‘s “Levi High” last month.
