Credit: George ChinEric Clapton fans who had tickets to see Slowhand play mainland Europe this May and June will have an extra year to get excited about the concerts. The rock legend has postponed his trek until 2021 because of the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
A message posted on Eric’s official website reads, “Following the advice of global healthcare agencies and local government instructions, we are sorry that we have no alternative but to announce that Eric Clapton’s European Tour planned for May/June 2020 will now be rescheduled to Spring 2021. The health and safety of our band, crew, venue staff and fans are our top priority.”
The trek now is scheduled to kick off May 21 in Munich, Germany, and is mapped out through a June 22-23 stand in Moscow. Tickets purchased for all of the 2020 shows will be honored for the new dates.
