Universal MusicDaBaby and Roddy Ricch’s massive single, “Rockstar” hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this month, from DaBaby’s #1 album, Blame It On Baby. Now the two rappers have given us a Purge-inspired video.
The seven-minute visual features the two rappers chasing down zombies in the wild and around what appears to be a construction site. Of course, DaBaby tapped his go-to music director, Reel Goats, for the cinematic video.
There’s a nice teaser of the album’s final track, “Amazing Grace,” about four-and-a-half minutes into the video.
For the ending, the video cuts back to “Rockstar” as behind the scene clips of stunts and the cast and crew members appear during the credits.
DaBaby and Roddy are slated to perform at Sunday’s 2020 BET Awards. Roddy has five nominations, including Best New Artist. Both are nominated for Album of the Year, Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, Video of the Year for Please Excuse Me for Being AntiSocial’s “The Box,” and DaBaby’s hip-hop musical, “BOP.”
Tune into the 2020 BET Awards June 28th at 8 p.m. on BET and CBS.
