Ethan Miller/Getty ImagesBad Wolves frontman Tommy Vext claims racism in the United States is a “manufactured” idea.
In a six-minute Instagram video, Vext explains that he believes there’s a conspiracy surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement and the ongoing protests against racism and police brutality in response to the recent deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery.
Using markers and highlighters to represent different people and factions, Vext claims that individuals such as Hillary Clinton and billionaire investor George Soros, both of whom are subject to a number of right-wing conspiracy theories, are paying the anti-fascist Antifa movement to instigate violence within Black Lives Matter in an attempt to distract the media from their own alleged wrongdoings.
“You have Antifa who is paid for by George Soros,” Vext claims. “These are highly trained, professional rioters and escalators. So they move in and disperse throughout all the different riots, right? And then The Clinton Foundation pumps money into promoting this stuff on social media and pushing the movement.”
“The same people who instigate the event and organize the protest and escalate the protest make money off the African-American community’s outrage and further deplete the morality of the United States,” he adds.
Vext goes on to say that he has never personally experienced racism in his life.
“I’m African-American, I’m 38 years old, I’ve grown up in this country and I have not experienced actual racism,” he says. “I have spent 20 years traveling through 48 states and…let’s say 50 countries all over the world. We don’t have a problem with race here. It’s all manufactured.”
