Buffalo rapper Benny The Butcher has announced his new album, Burden Of Proof, with a banging new single, “Timeless” featuring Big Sean and Lil Wayne.
“It was dope working with Wayne and Big Sean. I have so much respect for their talents. I have respect for everything they are doing,” said Benny in a press release. “Wayne is one of the goats. It’s a good thing to be on a track with those guys trading bars.”
“Timeless” comes from Benny’s upcoming album, Burden of Proof, arriving October 16th. Executive produced by 2020’s go-to producer, Hit-Boy, the album will feature guest appearances from Rick Ross, Freddie Gibbs, Queen Najia, Dom Kennedy and fellow Griselda rappers Conway The Machine andWestside Gunn.
Grammy-winning hitmaker Hit-Boy explained the beat for “Timeless” was actually created almost a decade ago for Jay-Z and Kanye West‘s Watch the Throne album, for which he produced, “N**** in Paris.”
“I was actually hot I made a beat this good and they picked…one of my more simple beats,” Hit-Boy wrote on Instagram. “That was a blessing in disguise.”
Benny had quite an independent run releasing mixtapes such as Tana Talk 3 and The Plugs I Met- all before signing a management deal with Jay-Z’s Roc-Nation. With the lessons he learned, he fulfilled his lifelong dream of starting his own label, Black Soprano Family (BSF).
Since, Benny has collaborated on a number of tracks with the likes of Dave East, The Lox, Drake and more.
