Universal Music GroupDaBaby shares his new single, “Peephole,” from the forthcoming deluxe version of his No. 1 selling-album, Blame It On Baby, which arrives Tuesday, August 4th.
The Grammy-nominated rapper switched up his flow on this melodic track, sharing the ups and downs of life as an artist. The song was accompanied by a Reel Goats-directed video starring DaBaby flexing on his haters in designer clothes and rapping about his career and love life.
“Baby, he don’t wanna be a player no more/ I was lookin’ out the peephole with it/ Every time I turned around, I had a player outside the door/ Now a [dude] goin’ beast mode with it/ I got fifteen beds, we ain’t layin’ on the floor,” he raps.
“Peephole” will be featured on the deluxe version of his third album, along with 10 new tracks. “Don’t tell the label I told you this but it’s #ReallyABrandNewAlbum,” he wrote on Instagram announcing the album.
This was a great year for DaBaby after Blame It On Baby topped Billboard’s 200 albums chart after its release in April. 12 of the album’s 13 tracks placed on Billboard’s Hot 100, including “Rockstar,” which topped the list for seven weeks straight.
