ABC/John Salangsang50 Cent’s latest comments about Black women have earned him a ton of blowback from Black women, including his ex, Vivica Fox. And it’s not looking too good.
50 Cent made his controversial comments during Lil Wayne’s Young Money Radio show over the weekend about “angry” Black women and dating what he considers “exotic” women. He said, “That [woman] look[s] a lot different than the [women] you see in the neighborhood all of the time.”
On Tuesday, 50 shared a video clip of Fox expressing her thoughts about his comments, though she wasn’t too surprised. In the clip from Fox Soul’s Cocktails with Queens, Vivica claimed 50 was revealing his “[Eff] boy tendencies” and the fact that he “can’t handle a Black woman.”
For his part, 50 claims Vivica’s still not over him since their tumultuous breakup almost two decades ago. “Vivica still in love with me, I dated her for 4 months 17 years ago and she’s still angry with me,” he captioned the Instagram post. “I’m starting to feel like my [eggplant emoji] is serious. LOL.”
Lil Wayne’s daughter, Reginae Carter, responded to his critical statements with a tweet embracing herself as a “black, beautiful, exotic queen.”
Meanwhile, others wondered why Lil Wayne didn’t speak up on behalf of his Black daughter. One Twitter user wrote, “I don’t expect anything from Lil Wayne & 50 Cent but for Wayne to be laughing like he doesn’t have a Black daughter…sick of [black men] being anti-black women.”
