SixthmanSixthman, the company the produces many of the themed music cruises and destination festivals, has announced that all of its 2020 cruises have been pushed back to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Affected events include Coheed and Cambria‘s inaugural S.S. Neverender and Slipknot‘s first Knotfest at Sea, as well as the KISS Kruise X.
Slipknot had previously announced that Knotfest at Sea wouldn’t be happening this year, along with all of the band’s other summer touring plans, but now it has a new date and port city: August 2021 in Athens, Greece. It was originally supposed to set sail this August from Barcelona, Spain.
Meanwhile, the S.S. Neverender and the Kiss Kruise have been moved to an undetermined date between mid-October and mid-November of next year. Both events will still set sail from Miami as originally announced.
On a video on KISS’ official website, Paul Stanley says, in part, “We kinda saw this coming but we were hoping things would change, but they haven’t. And even if we wanted to do a KISS Kruise this year, it would probably be canceled because there are so many restrictions being put in place that you wouldn’t get the cruise you wanted anyway.”
All guests who are booked on any 2020 Sixthman cruise who want to keep their reservation will be able to transfer it to the 2021 dates. If the new dates don’t work for you, you can cancel and receive credit for a future festival or cruise, or any Norwegian Cruise Line sailing. If you cancel now through August 31, you’ll receive a full refund.
On the bright side, all current and future guests who book now through August 31 for any 2021 cruise can receive a free beverage package.
