Atlantic RecordsHayley Williams unveiled her debut solo album Petals for Armor today, and a new music video to go along with it.
The visual, for the song “Dead Horse,” features Hayley confronting herself in the mirror, lying limp in a man’s arms and trying a variety different hairstyles and colors.
“I beat it like a dead horse/I beat it like a drum/Oh I stayed with you too long/Skipping like a record/I sang along/To a silly little song,” she sings on the track.
Petals for Armor features five new tracks, in addition to the 10 songs previously released on the Petals for Armor I and Petals for Armor II EPs.
The collection is available now at all music retailers and streaming services.
Spotify, meanwhile, has launched a new video series with Hayley in celebration of her album release. Called “Watch Me While I Self Care,” the series will feature a glimpse into Hayley’s self-care journey while in quarantine as well as an exclusive acoustic performance of “Dead Horse” and more.
