Luke GilfordWith stress levels climbing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, singers Lizzo and SZA gave their fans a chance to clear their minds and rid their bodies of any negative energy by hosting a joint meditation session on Thursday.
Lizzo previously discussed how quarantine is causing self-hatred to “creep up on me,” so she’s doing her part to spread some much-needed positive vibes.
The “Good As Hell” singer picked up her flute and joined SZA on her split-screen Instagram live, where her counterpart not only set up some calming crystals in the frame, but played a variety of ASMR instruments that included a sound bowl.
Lizzo’s flute lilts as the “All the Stars” artist creates a gentle humming, creating a pleasant sound that causes the two to close their eyes and drop their shoulders in relaxation.
The two were so pleased by their session, they begged fans to send them any snippets they may have recorded.
Lizzo uploaded a minute-long clip to her Instagram Thursday, encouraging, “A [whole] vibeeeeeee get into itttttttttt… deep breaths y’all…… breathe in.”
She then laid out some breathing exercises for fans to follow along as they watch the video, adding, “do as many times as you need!”
She closed, “Love u @sza thank u for inviting me into your glorious light.”
Of course, fans are already begging the two singers to host another session soon and thanked them for bringing some much-needed relaxation and rejuvenation during such an uncertain time.
