ABC/Lorenzo BevilaquaAfter reportedly breaking the internet with over four million viewers attempting to log on to Monday’s night Verzuz battle between Babyface and Teddy Riley, Verzuz creators Timbaland and Swizz Beatz are looking to make history once again.
During a late-night chat following the epic battle, captured by The Shade Room, Swizz tells Timbaland that he wants to see Dr. Dre and P. Diddy go toe-to-toe in a upcoming Verzuz battle.
“Pay-per-view for the COVID,” says Beatz, explaining that the proceeds for the battle would go to support COVID-19 relief efforts.
“Let’s bring the two kings in and give that back to the people,” he continues. “Dr. Dre, P. Diddy we are calling you to give back to the people.”
Not surprisingly, fans were quick to weigh in on Swizz’s idea in the comments.
“I’m here for it!,” said one fan. “And if y’all can do a cash money vs no limit I’d really be there lol”
“They’re both Legends but Diddy will wash Dre I’m sorry,” shared another.
Another believed that the potential battle would likely reignite beef between the East and West coast. “This is really about.. a PAC vs Biggie,” the fan noted.
Meanwhile, one user asked for more female-centered options. “We Need Brandy vs. Monica!!!,” the fan wrote. “We NEED some women in these battles!!!”
There’s no official word on if the battle will take place.
