ABC/Image Group LADepending on how long the COVID-19 coronavirus quarantine lasts, we may be getting a Pete Wentzsolo album.
In an interview with NME, the Fall Out Boy bassist discusses the possibility of making a record on his own while under lockdown.
“Are we going to be in our houses for another six months?” Wentz asks. “If we are, there’s going to be an album.”
Wentz’s quarantine activities have already included releasing the song “Check Your Phone,” a spoken word collaboration with the duo Cheap Cuts, and staging a Fall Out Boy action figure concert on his Instagram.
Elsewhere in the interview, Wentz shares an update on this summer’s scheduled Hella Mega tour, featuring Fall Out Boy, Green Day and Weezer. Essentially, he’s in the dark as much as any one else.
“Nobody knows anything and it’s hard because we really want to do this tour,” Wentz says.
“It was a hard thing to orchestrate because there are three bands, you have to figure out who’s doing what and everyone had to really want to do it,” he continues. “I know as much as you do about what’s going to happen with it.”
