Justin VaseurKendrick Sampson is remaining tight-lipped on whether or not he’ll return for season four of HBO’s Insecure..
In season three, Sampson made his debut as Nathan, an unexpected love interest for Issa Rae‘s character. During that season, Sampson’s character ends up ghosting Issa– who later finds out it was due to his mental health struggles.
Sampson tells ABC Audio that there’s not much he can say about his character in the new season.
“I don’t want to disappoint nobody, but I just… honestly don’t know what you can potentially see this season,” he says.
“I mean, I had a good time last season and we had a lot of fun and I got to work with a bunch of, you know, black folks,” he laughs. “I mean, in front of and behind the scene.”
While it’s rumored that he will make a return in the new season, Kendrick does not confirm. Instead, he promises he’ll be watching just like everyone else.
“As far as Insecure, I will be tuning in,” he says. “And I will be, you know, excited to figure out what the hell is going on.”
Insecure, also starring Yvonne Orji, Jay Ellis and Natasha Rothwell, air Sunday nights at 10 p.m. ET. on HBO.
