During these unprecedented times, Tory Lanez has been entertaining thousands at home with his wildly funny antics via his Instagram Live “Quarantine Radio” show. But as enjoyable as the series was, sadly, it has come to an end.
“Quarantine Radio” is a party with twerk battles and guest appearances from Tory’s celebrity friends. He also broke the record for having the most viewers for a live stream — 300,000 — when he featured Drake. He set a new record following week reaching 350,000 viewers.
But the Canadian rapper took to Instagram to let his fans know that he will be taking a “break” from the series, because he’s waiting to find out from the government how long the COVID-19 quarantine will be in effect.
“Ladies & Gentlemen, ‘Quarantine Radio’ will be back for the last two times this week before we go on our ‘”break,'” Tory wrote. “There will be no quarantine radio all next week and up until April 30th.”
However, there are some nice parting gifts. Fans will be able to win $25,000 in a trivia competition over the next two shows, so make sure you know his music.
While it lasted, Tory appreciated being able to reach his fans via “Quarantine Radio,” during a time when all tours and appearances have been canceled.
“Being with my fans is really important to me, which prompted me to create ‘Quarantine Radio’ in the first place, to go on live and spend time with them,” he tells USA Today. “I’m a very family and friend-oriented person, so making the most to connect while separated is what I’ve been focused on.”
Tory’s latest project The New Toronto 3 is available now.
