MGMT RecordsMGMT has premiered a new song called “As You Move Through the World.”
The tune is an ambient instrumental track that lasts over seven-and-a-half minutes long. If that’s something you need in your life right now, you can download it now via digital outlets.
MGMT had originally planned to release “As You Move Through the World” on a vinyl single alongside the previously released song “In the Afternoon,” but with all the COVID-19 happenings, they decided to drop it early.
“Hey all you COVIDS — oops, we mean KIDS,” MGMT writes in an Instagram post. “Since we’re still bummed that we won’t be seeing any of you on tour for the time being, we thought we’d go ahead and release our new track, ‘As You Move Through the World,’ a little early!”
The band adds “Everyone knows we all need a 7 and a half minute downtempo ambient instrumental track to listen to while we’re NOT moving through the world.”
