Paras Griffin/Getty Images for ESSENCECongratulations to singer Letoya Luckett, who just announced that she’s pregnant with her second child.
The former Destiny’s Child member shared the news on Instagram, saying, “Dear God, thank you. Growing & glowing in your light & love! Overjoyed & grateful for our little bundle.”
Letoya married her husband Tommicus Walker in a lavish ceremony in Austin, Texas in December 2017. The couple has two daughters: one-year-old Gianna and Madison, Walker’s eight-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.
Sharing the news on his page, Walker was just as excited to be a father again, quoting the bible verse 1 Samuel 1:27: “I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him.”
“Thank you God for blessing my wife to carry our healthy child in Jesus name,” he said. “P.S. I told ya’ll I was going back/back like a sprinter”
We first followed the couple’s journey as newlyweds and through Letoya’s first pregnancy on T.I. & Tiny’s Family Hustle show on VH1 in 2018.
Letoya Luckett was a member of Destiny’s Child in the ’90s, and appeared on their self-titled debut album, which featured “Writing’s on the Wall,” “Bills, Bills, Bills,” and “Say My Name.“
Her first two solo albums — 2006’s Letoya and 2009’s Lady Love — debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts. She broke records when her single “Torn” was the number-one requested video for 25 straight days on BET’s 106 & Park music countdown show.
Congratulations again to the happy couple.
