Coldplay has premiered the video for “Trouble in Town,” a track from the band’s latest album, Everyday Life.
The clip, which was inspired by the classic George Orwell novella Animal Farm, takes place in a world filled with anthropomorphic animals, like pig politicians and snow leopard police officers. Even so, it somehow manages to feel less dystopian than our current real-world situation.
Proceeds from “Trouble in Town” will be donated to the Innocence Project and the South African children’s charity ACFS. You can watch the video now streaming on YouTube.
Everyday Life, the follow-up to 2015’s A Head Full of Dreams, was released last November. The double album also includes the lead single “Orphans.”
In related news, the anti-drunk driving benefit concert LOVR, at which frontman Chris Martin was scheduled to perform, has been postponed due to COVID-19 coronavirus concerns. The event, which was scheduled to take place March 21, will now move to the fall.
